At Furniture Repair by Paul Luna, we specialize in Motion Furniture. This area includes motion furniture made by major manufacturers like LA-Z-BOY, Lane, Franklin, and all other brands. I can additionally repair Lift Chairs by Pride, Med-Lift, LA-Z-BOY, and many more. Motion Furniture has many moving parts to their mechanisms, and over the years they take a heavy beating by the repetitive opening and closing of the recliner. In most cases, these types of furniture have limited warranties, or have lifetime warranties on the parts only, but not on the labor. In either case, I’m able to assist you in the maintenance or repairing of your motion furniture.
Most all motion furniture manufacturers supply parts for your furniture. In some cases when parts have been discontinued, or the manufacturer is out of business, I have been successful in fabricating parts that repairs your furniture in excellent working order. The most common reason people get rid of their motion furniture is because the mechanism breaks down and is out of warranty. Most people do not even know that specialists like me are available to assist you in putting the motion back in your piece of furniture at an affordable price.

My Basic Tune Up service comprises of the replacement of moving parts that apply to your type of mechanism: frame inspection and repair, and the cleaning and lubing of the mechanism (electrical parts at an additional cost).
Repairing your recliner is not only cost effective, but in some cases when replacing the padding, the end result is better than its original condition from the factory. I have the knowledge to replace the padding in your furniture according to your specific needs.  I call this, “Modifications That Fit Your Comfort Zone.”  Let’s face it, isn’t every ones goal to be comfortable when it comes to their furniture? But the sad fact is that soon after purchase the comfort level of that piece of furniture rapidly declines. This is usually due to cost cutting quality of padding used by manufacturers. I can bring back that comfort level and much more with my Fluff-It-Up service. This service includes the seat foam will be replace with high density foam, recliners with a chaise being padded with Dacron and the footrest padded with foam, the lower back will be padded according to your specific needs, and the cleaning and lubing of the mechanism. Additional services available include: Inserting an inflatable lumbar support, using a high grade NASA Foam (Memory Foam), using Duck and Down padding, adding additional padding to the armrest, and more.
